Recycling
What it is
“Recycling” means any recovery operation by which waste materials are reprocessed into products, materials or substances, whether for their original purpose or for other purposes. It includes the reprocessing of organic material, but does not include energy recovery or reprocessing into materials that are to be used as fuels or for backfilling operations.
In simple words…
“Recycling” is the process by which already used materials such as paper, glass, aluminium, plastic and tinplate are turned into new products instead of being thrown away. In this way we significantly reduce waste, save raw materials and, ultimately, protect the environment.
